Birmingham Screwdriver?

Thanks to the panel adjustment received at Snetterton on Good Friday, some repairs were required to Karen's race car. So it was out with the hammer, filler and patented Hammerite colour mix!
First order of business were some dents in the bottom of the driver's door. Lance helped Richard push the worst of the dents out. It was noticed that some rust on the bottom of the door skin may as well now receive some attention. The door had also begun to catch its front edge against the front wing, and the aluminium inner door panel was now also fouling against something. Richard filed down the aluminium where required and took a wire brush drill attachment to the areas of rust on the bottom of the door.
In the meantime, Richard had straightened out the crease in the front arch. The crease was attacked with the wire brush and filler was applied. the same treatment was accorded the rear arch. Once the filler had dried, it was rubbed down to a smooth reasonable finish.
The areas worked on were then painted in a mix of Hammerite black and blue to match the dark blue colour of the car as closely as possible. The paint was also used on a section of the side skirt which had been damaged by the opposition's wheel rim. After all, why waste time on expensive paint jobs if the same is going to happen next time around? Hopefully, in due course the work on the bottom of the door will be further masked by the application of some sponsor graphics.
