"It can't rain all the time...Can it?"

Sunday 10th October was spent at Donington Park, where Karen and Richard attended a track day. They were joined by Tim Cartledge #42 and Tom with his Supercharged MK1 road car.
To say the weather was awful would be an understatement. Thanks to the cold and greasy conditions, followed quickly by rain, and then a lot more rain, it was an incident packed day. Despite this, there weren't as many stoppages as we might have expected.
We all had our own tales of sideways action, spins or offs. At one point, Tom and Karen were comparing mud-splashes along the sides of their cars. Tom also managed a spectacular spin at the chicane directly in front of Karen. However, no real damage was done and the day was excellent practice for Karen in smooth controlled driving in wet/greasy conditions. This bodes well for next season, and especially as Donington Park is on the provisional calendar for June 2007.
We're hoping to attend a few more track days early next year, to ensure Karen gets as familiar with the car and the circuits as possible before the MR2C resumes in April.
