Last night was spent bleeding the clutch fluid and replacing it. Poor Darren had to squeeze underneath the car and control the procedure by using the clutch fluid bleed nipple, whilst I had the easy job of sitting in the driver's seat and depressing the clutch pedal. Now and again I had to top-up the fluid reservoir. The old fluid seemed rather dark and there may have been a small amount of air in the system. Clutch feel seems to have improved, so hopefully that'll help Karen out on the circuit.

We also fitted some new Pagid brake pads. These may be a slightly softer compound than the originals, which could mean more initial bite when cold. They also dont have the edges chamfered which means a bigger surface area in contact with the brake disc. It remains to be seen how they will perform, but they'll be used for Karen's practice day at Pembrey. We can then make a decision about leaving them on for the races or swapping back to the originals which still have plenty of life in them.

All that remains to do is give the car a wash and polish ready for a long weekend in Wales!
