On Sunday, the Tengu Do Motorsport guys went the extra mile and installed a new paddle clutch and quickshift in Rexy. The plan was to use our original flywheel to keep costs down, but upon inspection it was found to have small fractures! Luckily, the chaps had a serviceable old one spare and that's now gone in instead.
Everything worked perfectly, and you can even find reverse gear with absolutely no hassle. (Ask a Subaru driver). Karen's now getting used to the idea of building the revs and dropping the clutch for explosive starts. She soon got the swing of it and was astounded at the difference.
So thanks to Martin and Mike, if she does race this year then the rest of the grid better watch out for her when the lights go out...

Richard was also fortunate enough to be graced with a passenger ride in a race prepared Nissan 350Z which has had some tuning input by Nissan experts Abbey Motorsport.
Rexy ran perfectly all day and both drivers had great fun without worrying about the pressures of a race day. It was a shame that the new clutch and quickshift hadn't been fitted in time but that will be resolved soon.
